Ohio. Since 1985, the Hattie Larlham League
of Hudson, a charitable organization that
raises funds to support the work of the
Hattie Larlham Center for Children with
Disabilities, has raised more than $500,000.

Many of the buildings
around Hattie’s Café & Gifts are testament
to the history of Hudson, Ohio. This history
includes the home of the city’s founder,
David Hudson. The house was built in 1806
and is only a few blocks from Hattie’s Café & Gifts. Hudson was home to the Western
Reserve College for 56 years before it was
moved to Cleveland and renamed Western Reserve
University. Later the campus would be reopened
as a preparatory school, the Western Reserve
Academy. The city also served as a station
on the Underground Railroad during the Civil
War.
Hudson’s dedication
to preserving the past, commitment to education
and progressive social beliefs make it an
exceptional match for the mission and belief
of Hattie Larlham and an excellent location
for Hattie’s Café & Gifts.
