"A few weeks after
Hattie’s Café had opened
in Hudson, my family and I went for lunch.
We were instantly charmed by the soda
fountain atmosphere, the great customer
service and yummy food. Hattie’s
Café has now become a favorite
spot for us to enjoy a great lunch, stop
in for a hot drink or shop for gifts.
I also order gourmet cookies and other
treats for gifts and am always impressed
with the quality and customer service
– I would highly recommend them
to anyone! Knowing that you are supporting
a great cause is a bonus to the unique
gem that is Hattie’s Café."

"When you can create
a restaurant with wonderful food, a comfy
location and customer service that makes
you smile, it’s a good thing. But
if you are able to add to that mix employees
who share a unique sense of kindness and
a genuine desire to serve you the best
food possible, in the best possible way,
you now have a delightful place, and we
are lucky to have all of these qualities
in Hattie’s Café."

"I recently received
a referral from Rick Parson, NE Ohio Regional
Manager for Hattie's Constant Companions
program to the Hattie Café catering
services. I spoke with Mary, whose enthusiasm
and passion for her work was catching!
She and her staff catered a Business Expo
event and we have received rave reviews
from our vendors and guests. We will definitely
use Hattie Café's catering in the
future, their quality, pricing and service
are unparalleled!"

During the 2007 holiday
season, Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures
in Belding, Michigan wanted to find a
way to show appreciation to persons who
have attended Stahlin Boot Camp—an
educational program developed specifically
to provide a comprehensive understanding
of electrical enclosures.
"We wanted to express
our thanks in a unique way. What appealed
to us about the gifts available through
the Hattie’s Café & Gifts online
shopping website was that they were quality
products—but also represented a
very worthwhile initiative for employing
persons with disabilities. We found the
site easy to use and ultimately ordered
110 dozen gourmet cookies that were shipped
to our 2007 Boot Camp "recruits"
all over the United States. The folks
managing the Hattie’s Café & Gifts
online shopping website were friendly
and ready to go the extra mile for Stahlin’s
order. They were also able to place a
special Boot Camp label on each box and
included a letter from Stahlin with the
cookies. That extra touch really added
value to our gifts. Our recruits were
pleasantly surprised to receive such a
yummy gift and expressed how much they
enjoyed the cookies. We received phone
calls and e-mails communicating their
appreciation. As a result we will continue
to use Hattie’s Café & Gifts for
gift ideas to our customers and business
associates.”

"A few weeks ago,
my wife Laura and I decided to share a
long weekend at Geauga Lake Park with
our daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons.
After two VERY LONG days of fun, rides,
getting and, of course, more fun, we were
headed home on Monday. But we decided
to visit the Foundation and Dick and Hattie's
gravesite. While we were there, an old
friend showed us around the new construction,
and then he suggested we visit the café
on our way home."
"Our visit was a wonderful
trip back to my teenage and early college
years. Not only had I spent a fair number
of days and nights in Hudson, I had spent
many evenings in the drugstore itself.
I walked through the front door, and was
struck silent by my first sight of the
soda counter in more than 45 years. I
used to sit there and eat ice cream, drink
coffee, and read comics while my sister
took piano lessons. She was too young
to drive, so I would bring her, and go
to the drugstore while she had her lesson.
Then I would drive her home. And there
it was--perfectly restored! I was 19 again!"
"So there I stood,
dumbstruck, while my family pressed around
me. Finally, they got me moving again,
and we found seats, but we were soon moved
into a different room because of repairs
going on in the front room. We ordered
tuna sandwiches. They turned out to be
absolutely the best tuna sandwiches I'd
EVER eaten. They were served graciously,
the atmosphere was most pleasant, and
everyone was very nice and SO helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in your
café, and I hope to return soon."
"Mom would've been
pleased and proud."
