Indians Hit a Home Run for People with
Disabilities
(MANTUA, Ohio)
Feb. 23, 2009 – The Cleveland
Indians organization isn’t just swinging
for the fences this preseason—it’s
also making a big contribution to the community.
During the Friday,
March 6 preseason game against the Milwaukee
Brewers, the Cleveland Indians Charities
has donated a limited number of tickets
to charity. For $50, fans will get a great
view behind home plate in the terrace section
of the brand new Goodyear Ballpark. The
day will include a buffet-style lunch, refreshments,
raffles, prizes and special guests from
the Indians.
Proceeds benefit
Hattie Larlham, an Ohio-based nonprofit
organization that provides services and
programs to people with mental retardation
and developmental disabilities.
The organization has
strong roots in Arizona.
“Hattie Larlham
doesn’t look at what our son can’t
do,” Goodyear-resident Ginny Boyle
said. “They focus on what our son
can do.”
Tickets are available
until Monday, March 2. For purchasing information,
visit www.hattielarlham.org
or call Nancy Farinacci at 800.233.8611,
ext. 3878.
