The
Art
of
Giving
Several
artists
enrolled
in
the
Hattie
Larlham
Creative
Arts
saw
their
holiday
wishes
come
true
a
little
early
this
year.
Fourteen
paintings
were
selected
for
a
special
showing
at
the
Progressive
Insurance
main
campus
in
Mayfield
Village.
The
paintings
will
be
displayed
from
Dec.
7
to
Jan.
29.
Titled
The
Art
of
Giving,
the
showing
highlights
the
therapeutic
attributes
of
the
art-making
process.
Hattie
Larlham
Creative
Arts
uses
professional
artists
and
specialized
techniques
to
give
people
with
disabilities
the
opportunity
to
express
themselves
in
new
creative
outlets.
The
gallery
also
features
paintings
from
PLAN
of
Northeast
Ohio,
a
nonprofit
organization
that
provides
services
to
people
with
mental
illnesses
including
schizophrenia,
bi-polar
disorder
and
depression.
Each
year,
the
Progressive
Insurance
Foundation,
the
fundraising
arm
of
Progressive
Insurance,
encourages
and
matches
employee
donations.
