Nearly 430 people came out to the Intercontinental
Hotel Cleveland Nov. 10 to honor two Bratenahl,
Ohio, natives and their 25 years of service
to people with disabilities.
Katie Koch, Hattie Larlham Foundation board
secretary, and her husband Charles (Bud)
Koch were the 2007 Rudolph H. Garfield Circle
of Caring honorees. This year’s theme
was Ribbons in the Sky.
The annual benefit celebrates people who
go above and beyond with their contributions
to Hattie Larlham and the mental retardation
and developmental disabilities field. WKYC-TV
meteorologist Betsy Kling and Dr.
Richard Grossberg, Hattie Larlham medical
director, were this year’s emcees.
The evening featured a cocktail reception,
hors d'oeuvres, dinner, auctions, a raffle
and music by Mike Petrone, a Cleveland pianist.
