To facilitate this, Hattie Larlham operates several mission-based social enterprises that offer vocational training, job coaching and job development programs designed to give adults with developmental disabilities the best chance for success in the workplace.

These vocational services go beyond task-oriented employment and provide people with developmental disabilities a positive mentoring environment that helps them become self-sufficient and economically stable.

Hattie's Café & Gifts

Hattie Larlham operates several coffee shops called Hattie’s Café & Gifts. The cafés provide employment and vocational training to people with developmental disabilities. The cafés offers customers fair trade coffee, fresh baked goods, sandwiches and gifts. Some of the café’s most popular products are its gift baskets, which are sold in the stores as well as online.

Hattie's Doggie Day Care & Boarding

Hattie's Doggie Day Care & Boarding is a cage-free pet boarding operation that provides employment to people with developmental disabilities interested in pursuing a career in animal care. The enterprise provides customers with day and overnight care for their dog while they are away from home. The organization also provides a dog grooming service.

Hattie's Vending

Hattie's Vending services nearly 100 vending machines in the Akron, Ohio, area. Employees are responsible for stocking and maintaining the machines on a regular schedule.

Hattie's Gardens

Hattie's Gardens is a sustainable agriculture enterprise and vocational services program for adults with developmental disabilities. Employees learn about caring for, cultivating and harvesting crops along with the importance of a healthy diet.

Hattie Larlham provides two supported employment options to accommodate individuals during each step of the employment process.

Hattie Larlham Professional Collaborations

Hattie Larlham partners with Norhteast Ohio companies and organizations to help adults with developmental disabilities find, obtain and keep steady employment. Through these collaborations, Hattie Larlham works with job-seeking adults with developmental disabilities to determine the type of job they want, find a job tailored to their skill set, manage challenges while on the job and receive job coaching. These vocational services are developed with the Bureau of Vocational Services.

Hattie Larlham Follow-Along Support

Hattie Larlham offers independent follow-along vocational services for adults with developmental disabilities who already have steady employment.

Hattie Larlham employment planning services and organizational employment services programs are CARF accredited.
