CPR and First Aid Training

Even when response teams are only minutes away, knowing what to do in an emergency can mean the difference between life and death. Be sure you’re prepared with CPR and first aid training from Hattie Larlham.

These are the same life-saving classes taught to Hattie Larlham staff, in accordance with American Heart Association standards. Hattie Larlham CPR and first aid training is approved by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Classes can be scheduled for small groups of employees (typically, 15 or less) at your company or organization. Hattie Larlham offers CPR and first aid training in Portage, Cuyahoga and Summit Counties in Ohio. CPR and First Aid Courses

HeartSaver Courses: For employees and designated first-responders whose job responsibilities require them to respond to first aid or cardiac emergencies, these classes are designed for on-site employee training at host companies and organizations. Participants must pass a skill test evaluated by the instructor.

Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers: These classes are tailored to meet the needs of health care providers such as EMS personnel, physicians and physician’s assistants, dentists, nurses and respiratory therapists required to have documentation of the successful completion of a CPR course. Participants must pass a skill test evaluated by the instructor. Basic life support class participants need to pass a written test.

Please note: Classes start on time. Late arrivals may not be admitted. Prices include student manual with CD and completion card. Child care services are not available. Students are asked to wear comfortable clothing. No refunds.

The courses listed above are taught in accordance with American Heart Association Standards. All participants must pass a skill check viewed by the instructor for all courses. In addition to the skill check, American Heart Association Basic Life Support courses require passing a written exam with an 84% or above. If, at any time, the instructor feels that a student has not competently met the skills check or does not pass the written exam, they will not pass them and remediation will be needed.
