K-Kids care for Constant Companions
Students from Highland Elementary School
in Stow learned about our Constant
Companions program this spring and chose
to make a difference in the lives of animals
by organizing a donation drive for supplies
such as food, toys and bedding. The students
are members of K-Kids, a Kiwanis International
youth program. Their donations will benefit
Constant Companions in Green. Constant Companions
is a program that focuses on the mutually
beneficial interaction between people with
disabilities and domestic animals such as
cats, rabbits, birds and fishes.
Spring Formal 2008
Another great night of fun and formal wear
was had by all at the 2nd Annual Community
Homes Spring Formal. The evening’s
festivities were headed up by a volunteer
committee from Kent State University’s
Learning to Lead program. Volunteers provided
spring-themed decorations, corsages for
attendees, refreshments, music and fun.
D.J. Scott Jones kept the party goers on
the dance floor with a mix of oldies-but-goodies,
hip hop and polka. Thank you to everyone
who made this event a great success!
