The Hope At Work campaign is the
renovation and expansion of the Center for
Children with Disabilities building, as well
as future Hattie Larlham programs and services.
As an organization, Hattie Larlham has
not asked the public for financial support
for a capital campaign since renovations
were made to the Hattie Larlham Center for
Children with Disabilities in 1985. To remain
an effective provider of quality care, Hattie
Larlham must once again reach out to the
public for a redesign of its main facility.
Today the facility must also serve older
children and adults, many of whom require
highly specialized care that falls beyond
the scope of the original design. Your generosity
will allow us to help those in northeast
Ohio whose lives are precious, but fragile.
The Hope At Work capital campaign
renovation and facility upgrades will total
$16 million. We have currently raised $13,506,716
towards our $16 million goal. To help us
reach this goal, please contact the development
department.
- Specialized Technology Units - $4.4
million
- The Life Achievement Center - $6.1 million
- Emergency Transport Area - $0.2 million
- Facility Upgrade - $5.3 million (not
labeled)
To offset the increasing expenses of providing
necessary and reliable services to this
vulnerable population, Hattie Larlham has
instituted three years of cost saving measures.
These measures include the reallocation
of human resources, the reduction of positions
through attrition, delayed hiring, modifications
to the allocation of supplies and equipment,
the consolidation of storage and changes
to vendor agreements and relationships.
Scaling back quality will never be an option.
