Sensory
Adventure
Camp
provides
children
the opportunity to
explore
different
play
experiences
designed
to
promote
sensory
stimulation.
The
focus
of
sensory
adventure
camp
is
child-directed
activity
with
adult
involvement
for
support
and
encouragement.
Each
week
takes
participants
through
a
variety
of
sensory
experiences
focused
around
a
central
theme
like
the
ocean,
space,
the
carnival,
animals and the
seasons.
The daily schedule includes a morning of sensory exploration followed by lunch, time in the pool and rest time. Each day finishes with a group activity. Children are provided support for each sensory experience, pool time and group activity. Children can explore activity stations that include:

Sensory
Adventure
Camp
is
for
children
ages
2
to
5
with
sensory
processing
issues
including
but
not
limited
to
autism
spectrum
disorders,
ADD/ADHD,
Down
syndrome
and
dysfunction
of
sensory
integration
as
well
as
typically
developing
children.
A
parent,
guardian,
TSS
or
therapist
must
attend
camp
with
any
child under 3 years old.
