Dahlberg Gibson Learning Center is an intervention program for young children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Hattie Larlham’s Dahlberg Gibson Learning Center is an intervention program for infants, toddlers and preschool-age children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Children may attend half-day morning or afternoon sessions.
Dahlberg Gibson’s Early Intervention program is a blended model of both home-based coaching and school-based programming. Early Intervention Specialists visit the children’s homes and provide tailored coaching to parents and caregivers. During their in-school sessions, children participate in programming built around social skills development, intervention, and therapy services.
Dahlberg Gibson features an integrated classroom model where preschool-age children with intellectual and developmental disabilities attend their classes alongside typically developing children in an inclusive environment.
To help children build skills to improve foundations for independence, self-regulation, and academic achievement, intervention specialists work collaboratively with occupational, physical, and speech therapists to provide the highest quality experience to every student.
Dahlberg Gibson Learning Center encourages family participation through monthly parent events, monthly food and supply giveaways, and regular in-home family coaching.
Dahlberg Gibson’s services are provided at no cost to families with funding through the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Additionally, DGLC is proud to partner with Head Start.
A ten-week summer enrichment program is available with tuition paid by the family.
