The Impact

“For us, it’s the comfort of knowing that Andrew is cared for, and better than we could care for him because it’s a specialty institution that’s really based in care and love. It just gives us comfort knowing he’s got a safe place to be for the rest of his life.”
-Larry & Christine Callahan,
Andrew’s parents
The Building on a Legacy Capital Campaign brings to life a vision for a home that embraces the dignity and personhood of every resident. The renovation of residential spaces includes new lighting that is adjustable in color temperature and brightness, full color murals which enliven spaces with comforting and welcoming depictions of nature, and warm color palettes that enhance the feeling of home and minimize the attributes of a clinical setting. These enhancements, and many more, provide Andrew and his peers a home that complements state-of-the-art medical equipment and the comfort of modern amenities with educational, recreational, daily care, and therapeutic programs designed to foster health, happiness, and achievement.
