“The medical and care team has become Nolan’s family. I can’t put into words how to express my deepest appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care Nolan receives each day. From the very beginning, it has been clear that Hattie Larlham is a place where children are not only cared for, but truly loved, valued, and encouraged to grow.”
-Tracy Norton,
Nolan’s grandmother

Through the Building on a Legacy Capital Campaign project, a state-of-the-art respiratory unit was added to the Hattie Larlham Center. This new wing expands the existing respiratory-focused unit to 44 beds, which allows us to serve more residents who have a ventilator and to also serve more residents, like Nolan, who have complex respiratory needs. The expanded unit includes increased respiratory therapy, nursing, and direct support staff on a 24/7 basis. It also features a high-tech vitals monitoring system and person-centered designed bedrooms, bathrooms, and living spaces. These specialty components strengthen infection control protocols, accommodate medical and adaptive equipment, and enhance the overall comfort and living environment for every resident.
