March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. This nation-wide celebration is a great opportunity for you, our friends, donors and volunteers to help create awareness and support our mission.

Throughout the month of March, we’re putting the spotlight on ability. We’re using the color yellow to represent every unique individual we serve and everything they CAN do.

Yellow is vibrant. Yellow is energetic.
Yellow is the color of ability.

Wear Yellow to celebrate ability – March 6 & 7, 2019

On Wed. & Thu. March 6 & 7, Hattie Larlham asks people to show their support and wear yellow for ability. A yellow garment such as a shirt, jacket or pants or a yellow accessory like a scarf, necktie or socks shows support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Take a selfie while wearing yellow and post it to your social media accounts with #yellowforability. Hattie Larlham will monitor its Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn pages throughout the day to like and share your posts.
