Hattie Larlham helps young adults and transition-age youth explore and prepare to join the local workforce through a variety of tailored programs.
Hattie Larlham proudly offers career exploration and learning experiences for transition-aged people with disabilities in Central and Northeast Ohio.
Programs vary slightly by region, and everyone's journey to employment looks a little different. But as a young adult job-seeker, you might benefit from experiences like:
Summer Youth Employment Program: Four week paid work experience and one week instructor-led employment education experience.
Summer Youth Career Exploration: A three-week glimpse into the world of work, through classroom and hands on learning. Includes visiting and trying out work opportunities at local businesses, based on interests of high school students.
Transition to Work Summer Program: High school students from around Franklin County work with their Discovery Specialist to complete the Discovery Process in addition to four weeks of exploring local businesses, networking, and practicing vocational skills in the community.
Non-Permanent Job Placement: Assistance for high students in finding, applying, interviewing and starting afterschool and weekend employment while still enrolled in high school.
Pre-Employment Transition Services: Students can chose to participate in one or all of the following educational opportunities.
- Self-Advocacy
- Job Exploration Counseling
